Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium
The Government believes that Pupil Premium is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle the disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it the most.
The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’). Schools also receive funding for children who have been looked after continuously for more than 6 months, and children of service personnel.
At Our Lady of Grace, we pride ourselves on the curriculum we are able to offer to all of our children. The introduction of pupil premium has enabled us to deliver this even more effectively.
Families of children whom pupil premium is attached are welcome to ask the school for support with school trips and events.
Termly monitoring of children eligible for FSM ensures that any areas of concern are identified quickly and strategies are put into place to address any areas of concern.
Data for individual children is monitored and annual reports are produced.
If you would like any further information on how Our Lady of Grace utilises its pupil premium money then please contact the school office.
